Thanks to Vincci for organizing this great fundraising event. Thanks to all my friends and fb contacts I nagged to come down and get their sweet tooth on.
I was honoured to get an invite to participate at this bake sale. No manning of booths but bringing my baked goodies. Apologies I only brought batches for Saturday (As I eagerly wait for my plane to depart...).
For Day 1, we apparently raised $1500 for Brown bagging for Calgary Kids society.
Love love love the variety of treats other bloggers had brought. Next time I will know to reserve pieces from the kitchen of Chocolate & Ginger! I only got to try the chipotle caramel popcorn with bacon and rosemary, but wow!
#YYCFBBS was very popular in the Twitter-sphere. Different goods at all times of the day. It was like the bake sale revolving door. I had to quickly snap a few shots as there was a constant influx of people at the table.
Next time, I would love to participate for both days! Anyways, Aloha y'all!
Here is my gimmicky packaging. S'more's brownies recipe
More gimmicky packaging... But I had a lot of fun making these lemon glazed sugar cookies.
The nearly empty tower of Chocolate and Ginger
Started off as normal sized hearts, then into asymmetrical blobs.
