858 16th Avenue SW
Well my ranting has finally paid off! Welcome Tutti Frutti to Calgary! Finally I don't have to drive to Airdrie or Edmonton for frozen yogurt. This location is on 16 Ave, on the one way street (16ave) that houses Steeps tea, Oasis spa (Mount Royal Village) and a few other establishments.
Parking is mostly on the street. There will be more locations showing up throughout the city so stay tuned for their openings.
I was lucky enough to attend a preview night. Very grateful too, because this place will be busy when they open (Even in -15 degree weather)
If you haven't read my previous posts, this is a chain of self serve frozen yogurt, pay by weight (55cents/oz), topping buffet- style place.
Did I mention free wifi? Score!
Yogurt stations. It doesn't look like a lot of flavours, but be assured they have many flavours that they will be changing up. The official website shows a Valhalla of flavours, if there is one you like, try petitioning it on the facebook page, who knows, you may get your wish! I would like to see pistachio, milk tea and yacoo(you know that asian yogurt drink) in the future.
At each flavour station there are recommendations on what kind of toppings that match the yogurt, but really, go for what you crave.
The middle lever mixes the two flavours.
Standard options at the topping bar. I've had so much froyo that I've learned what my favourtie toppings are Mochi and one that they do not have (cheesecake bites). But you can put whatever you would like on it to your hearts content. And don't forget the syrup if you'd like.
My friend got chocolate and strawberry with toppings of... well lots of chocolatey goodness.
I went with a little bit of everything. Tart is good, but my favourites would be Lychee and Black sesame. Then again, the peanut butter and salted caramel are delicious as well. Coconut was surprisingly good.
It would be a crime if none of us snapped photos.
A little Upstairs/Downstairs.
Cozy seating area downstairs as well!
Strike a pose. Photo wall!
